Invenergy Closes Green Letter of Credit Facility for USD 900 Million

Invenergy, the leading privately held developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy solutions, recently closed a $900 million Green Letter of Credit (L/C) facility to support Invenergy Renewables Finance North America. The facility will support Invenergy’s growing project development pipeline of large-scale renewable and other clean energy generation and storage facilities in the Americas. Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) acted as Sole Bookrunner, Syndication Agent, Administrative Agent, Documentation Agent and Green Loan Coordinator.
"Invenergy continues to bring the most advanced clean energy solutions to market and we are expanding our project portfolio across technologies to meet rising demand,” said Meghan Schultz, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Invenergy. “Natixis and the entire lender group has reinforced their commitment to Invenergy, and the increased facility will support our continued growth and the acceleration of a clean energy future.”
This closing follows last year’s announcement that Invenergy closed and upsized its Revolving Credit Facility to USD 1.5 billion to support Invenergy Renewables Operating I LLC (IROI). Natixis CIB also served as Sustainability Coordinator on that transaction and worked with IROI to structure sustainability-linked features aligned with Invenergy’s strategy to deliver clean energy.
Mandated Lead Arrangers were Natixis CIB and Desjardins Group. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A., New York Branch, Bank of Montreal, Chicago Branch, BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, S.A., Cooperatieve Rabobank U.A., New York Branch, HSBC Bank USA, National Association, JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc , Mizuho Bank, Ltd., National Australia Bank Limited, Nomura Corporate Funding Americas, LLC, Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, New York Branch, Royal Bank Of Canada, New York Branch, and Société Générale served as lenders.
